The second project was about creating a website on my favorite cartoon. I chose Pikachu because I like pokemons. First I drew the pikachu on a piece of paper and scanned it. Then, I used Adobe Fireworks tool to color the scanned image. Before I started coloring it, I first selected the pikachu's body parts using the polygon lasso and oval marquee tool. After I selecting them, I used the paint bucket and brush tool to put colors into each body parts. For the parts I could not select such as his hands, nose and mouse, I used the brush tool. When I finished coloring all the parts, I combined all the layers into one single layer. I also tried to improve the image by adding effects.

In order to make a website, I first created three pages. They are biography page, process page and home page.  Then, I inserted the background image, banner, and buttons. In the process page, I explained how I completed this project. In the biography page, I talked about who Pikachu is, what he does and why I like him. In all the pages, I put buttons so that viewers can go through my website easily. When I finished creating the website, I exported it to a html document and connected it to my project index page.

By completing this project, I learned what Fireworks tools are and how to use them. Also, I understood how to use hotspots to link one of my web pages to another web page. This project is important in web designing because it helped me to open up my creativity and to troubleshoot problems. In the future, I can use the skills for this project when I need to create a web page using Adobe Fireworks.
